北京举办招待会纪念中古建交66周年 Beijing Hosts Reception Marking 66th Anniversary of China‑Cuba Diplomatic Relations

Reuters BEIJING, Sept 23 (Reuters) — The Cuban Embassy in China held a reception at the China‑Latin America Cultural Exchange Center in Beijing to mark the 66th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cuba. Some 180‑200 diplomats, sector representatives and Cuban residents in Beijing attended the event.
H.E. Mr. Alberto Blanco Silva, Ambassador of Cuba to China, noted Cuba was the first country in the Western Hemisphere to establish diplomatic ties with the People’s Republic of China and has consistently adhered to the one‑China principle. He thanked China for its multi‑faceted support and highlighted sustained high‑level exchanges and expanding practical cooperation across fields.
Qiu Xiaoqi, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on Latin American Affairs, delivered remarks at the function. Participants attended the opening of a themed photo exhibition. Product displays, cultural performances and a toast ceremony were also arranged.
Committed to building a China‑Cuba community with a shared future, the two sides coordinate positions on multilateral forums to uphold multilateralism. Ambassador Blanco Silva said China and Cuba will continue to write new chapters of solidarity and mutual support for the benefit of both peoples.

古巴驻华大使阿尔韦托·布兰科·席尔瓦阁下表示，古巴是西半球首个同中华人民共和国建交的国家，一贯恪守一个中国原则。他感谢中方给予古巴多方面支持，并强调两国高层交往持续开展，各领域务实合作不断拓展。
中国政府拉美事务特别代表邱小琪在活动上致辞。现场为主题摄影展揭幕，活动还设置产品展示、文艺演出以及祝酒环节。
双方致力于构建中古命运共同体，在多边平台协调立场，维护多边主义。布兰科·席尔瓦大使表示，中古两国将继续谱写团结互助的新篇章，造福两国人民。
